Our Technological Leadership

Wireless Technology

We implement a technological watch in the field of wireless communications. The Group has developed expertise in the field of software radio and contributes to the emergence of new wireless technologies such as ZigBee and UWB.

Open Source Software

Within the framework of open source development, Groupe Silicomp has developed a service offer for migration from proprietary systems to open source. In an embedded software context, this service allows the production of communicating devices based upon open source software components or, in a wider context, the operation of an information system with a reduced cost of ownership.

M2M

Communication between machines opens up a considerable scope for innovation. Groupe Silicomp has developed an offer enabling its customers to implement the so-called "M2M" (Machine-To-Machine) applications for the web-deployment of new services within a context of "mobility" of the agents.

Security

Groupe Silicomp is a leader in the field of IT security. The Group develops technologies in the field of Defence and, as regards civilian applications, enables its customers to know or even be a step ahead of the latest techniques used by hackers to force their way into IT systems and develop the most efficient counter-measures.

RFID

With the integration of FIME and CADIMES, the Group has markedly extended its technological lead in RFID and its applications in electronic passports and the banking sector (PayPass System implemented by MasterCard with RFID smart cards).

Web Technology

The Group draws on its centres of excellence to support its customers in designing the architecture of their IT System and help them grasp opportunities provided by new technologies (J2EE, JAVA, .NET, Microsoft Architecture...).

HDMI

With the growing success of High Definition digital TV, which was broadcast first during the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Groupe Silicomp positioned itself on this market with a phase lead and asserted itself as a leader and as an HDMI standard expert.

Simulation

In its favourite field, embedded systems, Groupe Silicomp has entered into partnerships with major market participants, such as ST Microelectronics, for the development of the "embedded system simulation" technology. Hardware/software co-simulation enables work to be carried out simultaneously by software and hardware personnel on the same embedded system.
